Indoor Grilling...?
Vegans and Vegetarians of the world, best avoid this post as it is about cooking and eating meat.
What is it that smells just so absolutely mouth-wateringly heavenly about a hunk of meat cooking over a fire?
Sure, coming home to a face-full of aroma from a cooking crockpot is great, and the smell of dinner cooking on the stove is a treat. But the scent of fire mixed with searing meat is just other-worldly.
Unfortunately, being in condo/apartment housing we are not allowed to grill on our balcony. I don’t see how one of those little teeny charcoal grills would be an issue, especially considering everything is made of concrete, but we will abide by the HOA rules. However, we are still able to drool at the scents of grilling drifting out of nearby neighborhoods.
Robert and I are starting a high protein diet, which should help us lose weight, gain energy, and reduce overall inflammation thus alleviating a lot of our annoyances. I’m doing a video journal recording weekly updates to track any changes over time.
Eating so much meat we will need a variety of ways to cook and flavor our meals to keep the spice alive. I found this book when we were out last week and hunted it down for practically 60% off list price!
It has a ton of sauces and flavors for us to explore but it made me want to grill so badly! Those little charred edges on meat are absolute heaven!
My question for you is…. Do any of you have a favorite indoor grill? One that you especially love to use? I’m not talking a little George Foreman, I mean one you could cook four or five steaks on. I think it would be a really good investment for what we’re doing, but there are so many options I don’t know where to start!
Or you know, if you had one that you never use and wanted to mail it to us… we wouldn’t be mad about it ;)
I appreciate your support and am so thankful to have you here!
