One Bowl - Easy Ramen Recipe
I have a confession... I HATE doing dishes.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to make a full meal using only the dishes you use to eat it?
Enter. Instant Ramen.
No I'm not talking 3 minute noodles and basic broth.
I'm talking 15 minutes for a full meal packed with veggies, protein (if you choose), and TONS of flavor. And most of that is just sitting around waiting.
It's so spicy, savory, and delicious.
It makes my heart (and belly) so incredibly happy.
AND you can literally put it all together in one bowl. No other dishes required.
So, without further ado...My Easy Peasy Ramen recipe for your enjoyment. <3
Oh! One quick side note. After making this recipe many times with basic bowls and needing to pause the microwave to keep the bowl from overflowing, I did invest in these beautiful 9" ramen bowls from Amazon. They were/are WELL worth the $40 I paid for them. No joke, I use them for well over half of the meals I cook, not just ramen. And bonus points, because of their size, utensils don't fly out of them and fall on the floor!

NOW without further ado... the recipe <3
Simple recipe to make spicy, brothy, ramen using just the bowl you need to eat it!
1 slice of american cheese
1 pack of instant samyang ramen
1/2 cup of chopped veggies ((cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, etc.))
1/4 cup protein of choice ((optional - precooked leftovers))
2 cups of water
splash of milk
1/4 cup Coleslaw/cabbage mix ((optional))
Green onions for garnish
Place American cheese in bottom of bowl. Cover with chopped veggies and about a cup of water. Microwave for five minutes.
(Note: if adding an egg, microwave initially for 2-3 minutes and then crack egg into bowl and microwave for the remaining time)
Start water boiling while veggies are microwaving and break up noodles.
Remove from microwave and add milk; stir to blend. Add broken noodles on top and add additional cup (or until noodles are covered) of boiling water. Mix noodles around to try to get all submerged.
Cover and let sit for 7-10 minutes.
Add flavoring packets and mix thoroughly. Top with coleslaw mix and green onions.
Enjoy!
You can also add a bit of grated ginger, minced garlic, and black bean paste to the bowl before microwaving to give the broth more flavor.
